What is Dementia?
Dementia is a progressive organic mental disorder characterized by chronic personalitydisintegration, confusion, disorientation, stupor, deterioration of intellectual capacity and function, and impairment of control of memory, judgment, and impulses.
Effects of Alzheimer’s and Dementia
On The Individual
The individual beliefs, traits, behavioral responses are no longer predictable and are different from what they had been. The person with dementia may not understand their diagnosis and it causes them to feel confused. This will cause this individual to become upset, angry and quickly agitated and irritated when others do not understand them. The person may be unable to complete some daily task due to mental or physical limitations.
On The Family
The family will try to empathize with their loved ones diagnoses, but it is hard when they do not fully comprehend the disease’s progress. At times, the family member starts to be confused and stressed about their role and how to approach each day. Burn out is a common outcome for these family members that take on the task of being the sole provider.

zoey bless2023-02-16I love working with comfy care. It doesn’t matter what time of the day there is someone there to answer your call. Very honest people and always looking out for there workers. I have been with other agency but these people are not shady. This one time I got stuck on the 400 for about 2.5 hrs. The have paid us out of there own pocket. They said that the fact that you guys came out in this bad weather it’s fear to pay you guys for a full 12 hrs. I appreciate that. Some agency wouldn’t even care. At Christmas they mail us $25 Tim’s gift card with a postcard telling us how they appreciate us... My pay in my account has never been late. I love working with this company I am an RPN and I have been with them for a year and most definitely pleased with them.
